The Stopet is very different to any other dog training aid or correction product on the market. The device can be used for conventional positive reinforcement clicker training using a single click, or as a multi sound device to interrupt undesirable behaviour. When used to interrupt bad behaviour, we follow this with a command, then praise or reward when the desired result is achieved - you may find another way.
The Stopet training aid is held in the palm of the hand, and activated by simply rolling the wheel between thumb and forefinger. This action produces either single clicks for standard training, or a fast succession of distinctive clicks which will get your dog to stop and listen. The Stopet is kinder to your dog avoiding chemical sprays or electric shock tactics! Although the device can be used for both positive and negative behaviour training, we would not recommend you try doing this at the same time! If the product is to be used to interrupt bad behaviour, there are two methods you can use, firstly by a process of preconditioning, and secondly maybe a more controversial but very effective method of surprise. If a gentle approach is preferred, you will need to teach the dog that when he hears the sound there is no reward. To do this, treat and praise by putting his favourite reward on the floor several times in succession. On the final treat, go to put it down then sound the stopet and remove the treat quickly. Your dog will be confused, but perseverance will teach him that the sound means No reward and eventually control will be gained. The other method is to use the Stopet to surprise the dog so that you get attention. If your dog needs to be corrected, operate the Stopet, get attention and then give a reward when he obeys. Ultimately it is your choice to what method is adopted, but always keep the Stopet out of view.
The Stopet dog corrector is an ideal tool for breaking undesirable habits such as barking, but is also good for recall or stopping that roll in fox poo! Once your dog is trained to respond, use the Stopet everyday to keep control.

User Feedback
I've been using the stopet quite a bit, my dog is a Shepherd cross who likes to stalk pigeons and anything else that's small and moves for that matter. I've been using the Stopet to distract her following it up with a verbal command, I have to say I'm finding it very effective. I'll have no hesitation in recommending the Stopet to anyone who is having distraction problems with their dog.
Kind regards Mark
I thought I must write to say that I recently bought a Stopet from Pet Supermarket, after trying just about everything under the sun to stop our dog barking at just about everything. I saw this advertised on Pet Supermarkets website, and thought I may as well try this, after all I had tried everything else. To my absolute amasement from the very first time I used it, IT WORKED. Our dog is now much happier and our walks pleasurable. I cant thank you enough for this truly magical little invention and I would certainly recommend it to all. Thanks again, From a very happy dog owner, Gail B
I am extremely impressed with the Stopetl. Having used it for less than 2 days, it has already made a difference to my 4 boisterous Labradoodles. They are very good but two of them jump up all the time. Using the Stopet has now stopped this bad habit! I am well pleased!!
I bought it in Crufts and I know Mark found it very helpful with his guide dog. I have used it twice in work to stop dogs barking for attention and found it worked very quickly. I have also used it occasionally to try to stop a dog barking in the car -which didn't work as well. I have also used it to control distraction with one of my dogs when it has been working in harness, again which worked well. Hope this feedback helps, K
